Congress government- A Government without SPINE

12 Jun

The Congress government again proved that it had always been a party without spine. Whether its the issue of Afzal Guru, Ajmal Kasab,Ottavio Quattrocchi or now Warren Anderson the Congress Government has never been able to take a tough stand on bringing them to justice. Fugitives are not even afraid to visit the country, the biggest example being, the visit of Douglas Devnanda,a member of the visiting Sri Lanka delegation, accused of murder and kidnap for ransom.

More shameful for the government is the fact that, the then Rajiv Gandhi government actually Mr Rajiv Gandhi himself is being accused to have allowed Anderson to leave the country very well knowing that once he leaves he wouldn’t come back ever. This is what the people of Bhopal got for then voting a congress government in the sate as well as in the center. The name of Warren Anderson was not on even on the wanted list of CBI website till recently.

The government has always tried to have a better bilateral relationships with other countries than giving preference to its own citizens.Anderson being a US citizen, the government surely must have been under pressure of US and thus allowed him to leave. Similar will be the story with the nuclear deal with India falling into a US trap.

Its high time that the government took a tough stand on the factors affecting the nation whether it is Warren Anderson, Afzal Guru, naxalites or price rise.

Someone over here said Melodramatic nation! Talking about someone whose fault killed 15,000 peoples’ lives just like that is a melodramatic thing for you? Government sometime has to make a compromise but why is it that the compromising government is that of India only and not of USA or Pakistan?

At times nations have to compromise for long time benefit of the nation itself. but the compromises that the UPA government makes is not at all in the benefit of the citizens of India. For example the much debated nuclear bill and the liability bill. They are instruments of existing superpower America to have a cap on India’s aim in becoming a superpower itself.

haha.. It doesn’t matter which party it is. BJP missed a golden chance of declaring war against Pak when Taliban Militia hijacked Indian Airlines Flight 814.

There are clowns governing our country, and god knows what force is still driving it.

But as a matter of fact, has a board or a group ever done anything? They seem to function, they seem to hold meetings, they seem to be in news- but have they ever done anything.

Thank god, ours is a mixed economy, so that atleast economically various industries are making the country progress. Social and political phases need another evolution.

Much of our constitution is a farce- with one article contradicting another!

i completely agree with Mr. Ram….moreover jus luking at the historical incidents and comparing it wit few failures of today would not giv a correct picture….
Also there is a saying tht u hav to choose among the options tht u hav….i would certainly agree tht congress is nytim the best possible option tht india could get…flaws are everywhere….not one is blotless

i agree with the above comment that we cannot sit on judgement for actions which were almost three decades ago. for all those who are making the these noises why dont they step forward and show the way by adopting theses desolate families or individuals. and its a matter of time till next big event or tragedy hits this melodramatic nation, this shall also pass….

The compulsions prevailing environment and the bilateral issues ,issues between USA and India 26 yrs back cannot be adjudged at this point of time. But its certainly awakening for the future.Hope such ugly incident and outright favoritism to accused is avoided but still we cannot call the congress govt a spineless govt because moderations and public relations at times ,demands some robust decision which cannot be adjudged on the basis of history.
